Our Lovely Apartment
It's been a great three days. We've walked our little legs off and seen many parts of the area. Xi'an is a hustling and bustling city. There are people and cars and bicycles and buses and scooters everywhere you go. Horns are honking along every street and side walk. the people are busy and everyone is off to somewhere, but they're always willing to stop and give a helping hand to us US visitors who can't figure out what's what, even though most of them don't speak English.
Our apartment is located in a hotel owned by the university. When we first walked into the lobby, we were in awe. Marble floors, huge porcelain vases, water fountains, and white leather couches. It was beautiful. Our apartments are very nice as well. We have one bedroom with a living room, kitchen, office and bathroom. Here are some pictures:

This is the kitchen. There is a microwave on the tope of the refrigerator. A hot pad was in the cupboard. One of the other teachers gave us her toaster oven because she didn't think she'd use it. We're very grateful!!
Our kitchen after reorganizing.
Our bedroom with 2 LITTLE double beds! 🤔
Our very nice office with a printer! 😃
The bathroom is wonderful with a huge shower.
We've heard from other English Teachers in other cities and their apartments don't compare. We're very grateful that XISU has provided such a nice place to live for the next 10 month.
And a western toilet! Very nice! Xian is where we learned how to cross a street in China (get in the middle of a big group of people and go when they go!).
