Harbin's Tiger Reserve

We went to a Tiger Reserve in Harbin.  This is our pre-tour picture.  You can't tell but this was a pretty tight squeeze.
They loaded us in a bus like this one.  The windows have bars and the tires are also protected with bar coverings.  Kind of makes you wonder what we're in for....but we were up to it-whatever it was going to be.
There were tigers roaming everywhere and they were massive!  So huge..so furry..so adorable.

This guy was rubbing his head on this tree, then licking it and rubbing his head again.  Isn't that about the cutest thing you've ever seen?!

After going in the bus we went to an area where we walked through a walkway with tigers all around.  You could pay to feed the tigers.  A Chinese man right next to me fed this hungry guy!  So cool.

There were also chickens you could buy.
Once you paid for a chicken, you dropped it down this shoot.  As soon as you open the trap door the tigers came running.  This tiger leaped up and grabbed the chicken before any of the other's could get there.  He kept if for awhile just showing the other tigers that it was his!  They eventually saw that they had missed out and left him to his feast.
Before eating his chicken though, he pulled off all the feathers!  This reserve was one of my favorite places we've visited.  The tigers were so unreal.
